Allen received his M.Ed. in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University in 2007 and his B.S. in Mathematics from Penn State University in 1986.
Allen's interests include spending time with his family, teaching, and learning.
In addition to teaching for Penn State, Allen is a vice president at PLS 3rd Learning, a company that creates web-based systems and professional learning approaches to enhance educator effectiveness. Allen joined Penn State in 2009 as an adjunct mathematics instructor. Before working at PLS 3rd Learning and Penn State, Allen served as a high school mathematics teacher and the mathematics coordinator for the school district.
